The mission of Womern's Crisis Support-Defensa de Mujeres is to end domestic violence and sexual assault by providing intervention and prevention services in a culturally-sensitive way. Through crisis counseling, safe shelter, legal assistance and advocacy, they help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to become survivors and repair their lives. Women's Crisis Support ~ Defensa de Mujeres also works to prevent domestic and sexual violence before it occurs by conducting workshops for families, neighborhood outreach, and programs for children that break the intergenerational cycle of violence.

The mission of the Victim/Witness Program is to inform, assist, and support victims of violent crime in their interactions with the criminal justice system, and to protect their rights in a manner no less vigorous than the protection afforded to criminal defendants.

Victims will be treated with dignity and respect to reduce the trauma and insensitive treatment that can be experienced in the aftermath of a crime. We will also work to improve the system's understanding of the needs of crime victims and their families.
